Stars and Wars Do Not Match

Emperor Palpatine has announced open elections for a new Emperor — and he’s nominated Darth Vader. You get to nominate one challenger.

Well… I have no idea about Star Wars, and I’ve never thought about reading any of its books either.

So I am at sea, don’t know any Star Wars heroes to nominate as challengers.

What I know is that stars and wars do not match.

Those luminous shapes up there in the sky look too peaceful to even know the meaning of the word war.

The sun, however, can do well with wars since it’s boiling nonstop like hell, and its atomic explosions never rest.

So Sun Wars makes a bit of sense for movies and books.

Is there already any movies or books about Sun Wars?

Hopefully not.

If they can play with the stars,

no one would ever play with the sun.

With no-idea-about- star-wars- thoughts,

Nahla

How was your day?

Windy, sunny, rainy, and cold.

Doesn’t that make a wonderfully multi – weather day?

I suppose it does.

At least we saw the sun, and the wind passed by to dry the laundry.

Not to forget the visit of rain, and her insistance on offering the birds’ a fun gift — a small pool.

And now, at bedtime, the cold breeze slipped into our homes, just to remind us of dear, missed autumn.

It is June, right?

Can June in your place nudge our June here?

He seems a bit confused.

Or lost.

I think… according to his symptoms, his mental confusion is affected by the madness in the world these days.

East and west, North and south, and the even World Cup squeezed into the mess.

Poor June, and it’s only the tenth.

But let’s have hope,

Tomorrow will be a good day.

And next week will bring more warmth, and good news.

And by the week after, you will laugh, wondering how your visit passed in the blink of an eye

Amen.

With confused – June – weather thoughts,

Rain and Sun

Today, an hour ago, as I was reading by the window, I glanced at the blue sky. Its beautiful blue invites everyone to gaze into it and forget everything else.

Beautiful, I whispered, and my eyes moved back to my reading. But then, the sun shone into them. I tried to evade its brightness, but couldn’t. It was warm, and we had missed it over the last few days.

So I remained where I was, enjoying its warmth while continuing to read.

Then, all of a sudden, I heard rain, beating rain, big raindrops falling somewhere.

I glanced out the window; no rain. But, I did hear rain.

I moved to another window, and just then it was pouring, generously pouring.

The sun was shining and smiling, happy to watch the rain, just like me.

Oh my… the poor people were running along the streets. It’s been a bit chilly here, but some still think it’s not time for coats. They were running, trying to find any shelter. The trees gave them another cold shower, and the sun began playing her favourite game of hide and seek.

And I smiled.

Then the rain stopped, and the sun was still playing.

Oh my…  I remembered the laundry. It wasn’t outdoors, but I wondered whether to take it out or not risk it for my friend still playing hide and seek.

Better not.

But I hate dryers.

I think I’ll give it a try.

That’s how rain and sun can change your day—from weather to whether.

With hope and peace,

Nahla
